Scooters are 49cc vehicles and up to two people are allowed on the scooter. You only need a valid drivers license and be at least 18 years old to operate. Passengers must also be at least 18 years old to ride our 2 wheeled scooter.
Passengers for Scoot Coupe under the age of 17 must weigh at least 35lbs AND be able to properly fit a helmet (XS-XXL sizes available).

Do we require a deposit?
Yes, a $100 refundable cash or credit card damage deposit is required.

Do you recommend making reservations?
Absolutely, March, June & July, are our high demand months so reserving your rental scooter is always a good idea to ensure that we have the amount of vehicles and days requested available for your rental.

How do I make a reservation?

Can I rent the scooter by the hour?
Yes we do but if you'd like to visit the neighboring Fort Pickens National Park or Navarre Beach, we also offer Half & Full Day discounted rentals.

Where can I take the scooters?
You must stay on Santa Rosa Island which extends from Fort Pickens National Park to Navarre Beach.

Do I need to wear a helmet?
Helmets are provided along with sunglasses with each rental.

Do the scooters come with locks?
Yes. There is a steering lock mechanism built into each scooter.

Do you provide insurance?
No. Scooter Hut Rentals does not sell insurance. The renter is responsible for the vehicle during the rental period.

Can I return my rental early?
Yes, you may return the rental at an earlier time at our location. We do not refund early returns.

Do you provide maps?
Yes, rentals come with a free island map.

Can I wear flip flops?
There are no mandatory or required footwear for riding scooters. We do advise that closed toed shoes are worn for your rental.
